A preplanned funeral consultation with us involves:

  • Planning the visitation

  • Naming the people to be contacted in the event of your death
  • Selecting coffins or urns
  • Arranging future grave maintenance

Janice Gove has many years experience specifically preplanning funerals to cater to every families wishes for their loved ones funeral. She has a earned a WI Resident Intermediary License as well as a WI Burial Agreement License so families can have a choice of a different way of funding their funeral. Did you know, there are two different ways to fund your funeral: Bank Trust and Funeral Insurance? 

BANK FUNDING

  • Interest earned is taxable.
  • IRS reporting with 1099 form. 
  • No guarantees or minimum on interest rate earned (you must subtract tax paid on interest for true interest rate). 
  • Limits-- $4500 toward funeral, any casket, any vault. Cash advance items may NOT be funded per MA/SSI requirements. 
  • Remaining funds after funeral goes to Wisconsin Estate Recovery Program if on MA/SSI 
  • Meets MA/SSI requirements.

INSURANCE FUNDING

  • Death benefit increases are not taxable.
  • No IRS reporting.
  • Guaranteed set interest rate for growth.
  • No Limits—Considered on EXEMPT ASSET. Cash advance items may be pre-funded as long as funds are designated for final expenses only.
  • Remaining funds after funeral goes to the estate of the deceased.
  • Meets MA/SSI requirements.
