Wayne G. Zachary

Wayne G. Zachary, age 72, of Ripon, WI passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI. Wayne was born on July 15, 1950 in Jamestown, Tennessee; the son of James Sr and Georgia (Blair) Zachary. He graduated from Ela Vernon/ Lake Zurich High School in Lake Zurich, IL in 1968 and was a standout athlete in both basketball and football. Wayne led an interesting life which consisted of a short stint performing clerical duties with the FBI after being recruited as an Intern. He lost interest after a while and worked at Dearborn Chemical, St. Matthew Church in Lake Zurich, and other places before retiring as the head of building maintenance at Lutheran General Services in Illinois.

Wayne is survived by and the proud father of Brent Zachary of Crystal Lake, IL. He is further survived by 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers; his long time significant other, Janice Burrell; and Brent’s mother, Frances. He is preceded in death by his parents.
