Tracy L. Daniel

Tracy L. Daniel, age 61, of Green Lake, WI, formerly of Rockford, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. Tracy was born on August 24, 1964 in Rockford, IL; the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Nancy (Thompson) Garkey. She grew up in Rockford and graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1982.

On October 27, 1990, Tracy was united in marriage to Gary Daniel. They shared many years together until his passing on November 14, 2015.

Tracy built a strong and respected career in the mechanical contracting industry. She worked for many years at Area Mechanical in Rockford, where she served as the main service dispatch coordinator. After relocating to Green Lake, WI, in 2020, Tracy continued her career at Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon.

Tracy loved taking care of others and making sure everyone else was happy, and she entertained with her funny stories and sense of humor. Her perfect summer meant spending days on the boat at Green Lake and nights around the campfire. She loved getting dressed up for holidays and events and took pride in her clothing, makeup, and hair. She often lovingly reminisced about how she loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing dress-up when they were young. She loved shopping and the background chatter of the QVC channel. Tracy’s funny and loving personality will be dearly missed by family and friends. 

Tracy is survived by her father, Robert “Bob” (Margaret) Garkey of Fond du Lac, WI; son, Joshua (Michelle) Kampmeier of El Mirage, AZ; 3 grandchildren: Destiny (Alec) Owens, Ambriel Kampmeier, and Brennan Kampmeier of Rockford, IL; 3 great grandchildren: Sutton, Theodore, and Bleu Owens of Rockford, IL; sister, Michele (Todd) Haas of Green Lake, WI; brother, Gregory “Greg” (Ann) Garkey of Green Lake, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Garkey; and husband, Gary Daniel.

A Celebration of Life service for Tracy will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street, in Ripon, WI.
