Shirley A. Murkley

Shirley Ann Murkley (nee Hibicki) age 85, of Ripon, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Juliette Manor in Berlin. Shirley was born on December 28, 1930 in Berlin, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Winkoski) Hibicki and attended St. Michaels Catholic School. She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Murkley on October 16, 1948 in Berlin. He then preceded her in death on March 10, 2015.

Shirley was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon and former member of the Ripon American Legion Auxiliary Post 43. She loved to go fishing, crocheting and playing the organ. She was a "natural talent" and enjoyed playing her accordion.

Shirley is survived by her son, Ken (Linda) Murkley of Berlin; four grandchildren: Robert J. (Karen), Patrick (Teresa), Sherry (Tim) Konen, and Kristie (Cole) Lehr; seven great-grandchildren: Makenna, Reese, Jack, Thomas, Cody, Lauren and Adella Ann; other relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; and one sister, Dorothy Schrader.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin with Father Robert Fictum officiating.
