Phyllis E. Kempfer

Phyllis Elaine (Morris) Kempfer, age 77, of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2017 at Copperleaf Village in Ripon. She was born on January 13, 1940 in Ripon, the daughter of Joseph S. and Mary Ethel (Morris) Morris. She graduated from Ripon High School, Class of 1958.

Phyllis was united in marriage to Richard Kempfer on March 21, 1959 at the First Congregational Church in Ripon. She retired from Ripon College after working many years in housekeeping. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing the piano, and baking Christmas cookies. She loved all things strawberry and York Peppermint Patties were her favorite.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Richard; her three sons: Richard II (Lacey Moore), Gregory and Brian (Sarah Kesich); her daughter, Laura (Dan) Heeren; her 5 grandchildren: Melissa (Chris) Siegel, SFC Joseph (Sherry) Anderson, Stacey Anderson, Richard Kempfer III, and Amber Kempfer; her 18 great grandchildren; her sister, Joanne Adamski; her two brothers: Elroy (Becky) Morris and Joe (Linda) Morris; her many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Alan E. Anderson; her brother, Milton Morris; and her two sisters: Mariam (James) Balda and Marilyn Stollfus.

A Memorial Service for Phyllis will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street, Ripon. Family and friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 10:00AM until the time of the services.
