Marlene F. Engel

Marlene F. Engel, age 69, of Waupun, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. Marlene was born on September 4, 1954 in Lamartine, WI, the daughter of Bruce and Arbulla (Skaggs) Arthur. Marlene graduated from Oakfield High School. She was united in marriage to Donald Engel in 1975 in the Lamartine Church.

Marlene worked as an LPN in Fond du lac and Waupun for many years. She then attended and graduated from UW Oshkosh as a Registered Nurse and worked at the Christian Home in Waupun before retiring at 62 years old.

Marlene enjoyed knitting and cross-stitching, hunting, and going snowmobiling in Upper Michigan. She loved being in the outdoors, going to the city park by the lake, spending time with her family, and going to lunch with her sisters.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald; sons: Don (fiancé Jenny) Engel of Waupun, and Brian (Alicia) Engel of Ripon; 5 grandchildren: Abigail, Joey, Adyen, Aaron, and Austin;  brothers: Bruce “Bud” (Marjorie) Arthurs; and James Arthurs; sisters: Jean (Richard) Boehler, Sherry Arthurs, and Linda (Don) Kopf; other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth (Eugene) Granger; and 2 infant sisters.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street, Ripon.
