Marilyn I. Henning, age 98, of Ripon, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Markesan Resident Home. Marilyn was born on September 3, 1927 in Lake Forest, IL, the daughter of Edward and Clara (Cook) Timm. She was united in marriage to Gordon Henning Sr. in Pickett, WI on September 6, 1947 and they were blessed with 7 children together. Gordon Sr. preceded Marilyn in death on December 19, 1996. Marilyn was a housekeeper her entire life. She was member of Elo Church of the Nazarene in Pickett and former member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, collecting dolls, puzzles and always loved Polka Dancing.
Marilyn is survived by 3 sons: James (Nancy) Henning of Ripon, Thomas (special friend, Linda Brown) Henning of Ripon, and David (Fur-Baby, Tequila) Henning of Green Lake; 3 daughters: Patty (Mike) Lambert of Ripon, Linda Carstensen of Markesan, and Debra (Dennis) Luedtke of Ripon; 27 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Bob) Schraeder of Appleton; sister-in-law, Beverly Timm of Fond du Lac; and many other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death her parents; husband, Gordon, Sr.; son, Gordon Jr.; 4 grandsons: Jessie Henning, Peter Henning, Tim Henning, and Dominic Warnke; great grandson, Colin Henning; brothers: Robert (Helen) Timm, Duane (Anita) Timm, and Ronald Timm; sister, Joyce Heine; son-in-law, Jim Carstensen, and daughter-in-law, Debra Henning.
