Lulu D. Kenton

Lulu D. Kenton, age 95, of Green Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehab in Ripon, WI. Lulu was born on August 29, 1927 in Emery, South Dakota; the daughter of Otto and Emma (Lang) Hanssen. She was united in marriage to Leroy Kenton on June 6, 1947 in South Dakota. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1975. Lulu worked at the American Baptist Assembly in Green Lake and Ripon College. She was a member of The Federated Church of Green Lake and enjoyed sewing and cooking.  

Lulu is survived by her 2 daughters: Kathleen Warren of Green Lake, and Cheri (Jim) Huth of Auburn, GA; 3 sons: Roger (Karen) Kenton of Edgar, WI, Tom (Tammi) Kenton of Ripon, WI, and Gary (Sally) Kenton of Green Lake, WI; 10 grandchildren: Robin Kenton, Nadene Kasuboski, April Klaver, Mark Kenton, Pam Drews, Jessica Kenton, Nicholas Kenton, Jeremy Huth, Josh Huth, and Erick Kenton; 26 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Mason of CA; a brother, Denny Hanssen of Souix Falls, S.D.; and many other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy; grandson, Ryan Kenton; and sister, Bernice Kewley.

Private services were held for Lulu. Interment was held at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon is serving the Kenton family. Divinepassagefunerals.com
