Lucille E. Przybyl Gloyd

Lucille E. Przybyl Gloyd, age 84, of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Ripon Medical Center with her family by her side. Lucille was born on February 5, 1937 in Washburn, WI, the daughter of Sidney and Esther (Guski) Kautzer. Her family moved to Illinois and she graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago, IL. Lucille was united in marriage to Walter Przybyl on January 4, 1958 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Princeton. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1985. Lucille was then united in marriage to Leonard Gloyd on December 29, 1990 in Florida. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2000.

When Lucille lived in Ripon, she worked at Ripon Knitting Works, Montgomery Wards, and Braun’s Restaurant. She worked at Ripon College for over 23 years before retiring from Student Activities. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, puzzles, card games, traveling to see the countryside, and spending time with her family.

Lucille is survived by her daughters: Victoria (John) Welke of Montello, WI, Terri (Jeff) Johnson of Ripon, WI, and Kathleen (Todd) Gohlke of Neshkoro, WI; grandchildren: Andrew (Kasey) Disterhaft, Amy (Juan Mora) Disterhaft, Adam (Keela) Disterhaft, Sheena (Wally) Wolsdorf, Dalice McGwin, Ariel (Steve) Zellmer-Hilke, Faye (Jay) Welke, Owen (Natasha) Welke, Autumn (Andy) Welke, Tyler Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, Travis Johnson, and Courtney (DJ) Wurster; 23 great grandchildren with one on the way; other relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Walter Przybyl and Leonard Gloyd; and brother, Howard Kautzer.

A Funeral Prayer Service for Lucille will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Divine Passage Funeral Home with Deacon Dale Packowski officiating. Friends and family may visit at Divine Passage Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11:00am until the time of the services. The family kindly requests unvaccinated guests to please wear a mask in the funeral home. A private burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.
