Lori A. Kray

Lori A. Kray, age 68, of Berlin, WI, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehab in Ripon. Lori was born on August 25, 1957 in Mason City, Iowa; the daughter of Wayne and Irma (Carle) Foell. She graduated from Nora Springs High School in Nora Springs, IA and then attended and graduated from North Iowa Community College with a Nursing Degree. She worked at Berlin Memorial Hospital as a surgical technician for many years before retiring. She was united in marriage to Dennis Kray on May 2, 1981 in Mason City, IA. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2023.

Lori was a member and on the church board at Faith Community Church in Berlin. She was active on the Berlin School Board and CESA. She was proud to take 6 mission trips to Honduras to help the “Site for the Blind”. She enjoyed singing, reading, basket weaving, playing the piano,  and scrapbooking. She loved to be a part of the community and was always involved with church and school.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Katie (Brad) Warwick of Berlin, and Karrie (Brian) Hughes of Madison; grandchildren: Kenzie and Bridgett Warwick, and Jordan Hughes; her mother, Irma Foell of Mason City, IA; siblings: LaNae (Craig) Wales of Mason City, IA, Mark (Mary) Foell of Kansas City, MO, Lisa Foell of Kansas City, KS, and David Foell of Mason City, IA; sisters-in-law: Nancy Belpedio of McHenry, IL, and Karen (Norm) Boxleitner of Hampshire, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne; husband, Dennis; and grandmother, Katheryn Foell.

Per the wish of Lori, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Faith Community Church in Berlin. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon is serving the Kray family.
