Kenneth Slate Obituary

Kenneth H. Slate, age 74, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Fountainview Care Center in Ripon, WI. Kenneth was born on December 11, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois the son of William Sr. and Dorothy (Franks) Slate. He was united in marriage to Rosalie Fletcher on October 28, 1968 in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School and became a Radio Technician for many years. He was a member of the Top Hats Motorcycle Club, Auxiliary Police Force, Green Fox Radio Club, and Ripon Area Computer Club. He was also a member of the Amateur Radio Club; his call signs were W9ITW and N0HIT. He loved working with radios and being a DJ in Fond du Lac, but most of all, he loved watching Doctor Who.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie; two sons, Kyn (Jodi) Anthony of Oshkosh and David Slate of Ripon; one daughter, Samantha Anthony of Fond du Lac; one brother, William (Joan) Slate of Markesan; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Patricia Anthony; and one brother John Slate.

Per Kenneth's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
