Joyce M. Sivright, age 89, of Pickett, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Joyce was born on November 26, 1931 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John A. and Marian K. (Dittlaff) Nurkala. She was united in marriage to James H. Sivright Jr. He preceded her in death on December 19, 2009 after 59 years of marriage. She was a member of Church of Good Hope in Milwaukee for most of her life and ran the church food pantry. She loved feeding and watching the birds and would spend her time cooking and reading.
Joyce is survived by her sons: James Sivright, III of Wauwatosa, and Brian Sivright of Pickett; grandsons: Christopher Sivright and Matthew Sivright; great grandsons: Lucas and Micah; brother, John Nurkala; sisters: Peggy Pennington and Trecy Tekus; other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; son, Dale; and brother, Paul Nurkala.
