Joseph "Doc" E. Docter

Joseph E. Docter “Doc”, age 82, of Ripon, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehab in Ripon with his loving wife by his side. Joe was born on April 28, 1942 in Springvale, WI, the son of Arthur Sr. and Grace (Strong) Docter. He was united in marriage to Sandra Roberts on November 2, 1963 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ripon, WI.

Joe was a Semi Truck driver until 80 years old driving for Olsen’s Mill of Berlin, Badger Mining, Mercury Marine and Brian Retzlaff. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved camping, listening and dancing to Polka music, trips to Texas, and watching TV. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Kathy (Ron) Raczkowski of Kronenwetter, WI; son, Joe Jr (Cindy) Docter of Ripon, WI; grandchildren: Kassi (Kyle) Kwarciany, Emily (fiancé Brennen) Docter, Annie (Adam) Hawley, and Heidi (partner Kelsey) Docter; brother, James Docter; sister, Evelyn Berndt; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.

A Memorial Service for Joe will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon with Father Chuck Wrobel officiating.
