Jean B. Wille, age 87, of Ripon and Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024 at Homestead Health Services in New Holstein, WI. Fittingly, Jean departed this world on the anniversary of her marriage to be with her husband Jim, who sadly passed away previously.
Jean was born on May 28, 1937 in Sheboygan, WI; the daughter of Anton and Bernice (Paniuski) Skeris. She graduated from Fox Valley Tech as an LPN and worked for many years in nursing homes; her favorite position was as an Administrator for an Adult Care Home in Manitowoc. Jean was united in marriage to James H. Wille on September 30, 1961 at Our Savior’s UCC in Ripon, WI. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2021.
Throughout her long life, Jean enjoyed many activities including camping, walking, reading, hosting barbecues, dining out, playing video games, and - of course - cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers. She loved to cook and bake and often spent hours looking for new recipes to try. In later years, she and Jim drove all around Wisconsin, staying in hotels, going to casinos, and touring new areas. Together they always had their home open to their kids and even shared in raising their grandson, Jacob.
Jean is survived by her children: Deborah (Ricky) Prellwitz of Ripon, WI; Richard (Diane) Wille of Beaverton, OR; and Sharon (Stephen) Wille Padnos of Essex Junction, VT; her siblings: Tony Skeris of Ripon, and Pat (Butch) Strickland of Sheboygan; 11 grandchildren: Stephanie, Danielle, Nikki, Amanda, Ashley, Alyssa, Jacob, Amber, Jordanne, Rachel and Kyle; and 8 great grandchildren; Aaliyah, Jayden, Damian Jr., Nyasia, Saryana, Kayden, Rylee, and Lucas; as well as many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter Susan, and sister Carol Cotter.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30am until the memorial service. A private interment will be held in Knollwood Cemetery in Manitowoc, WI.
