Janet A. Wilke

Janet Wilke, age 91, of Green Lake/ Ripon, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2021 at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh with family by her side. Janet was born on April 16, 1930, in Waukegan, IL; the daughter of John and Marion (Hannula) Jones. She graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee, WI. Janet was united in marriage to John T. Wilke on December 11, 1948 at Florist Avenue Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2021, after 72 years of marriage.

Janet was a member of the Women’s Club in Glendale, WI and always looked forward to having breakfast with her friends. She loved sewing, gardening, and beautiful flowers. She especially loved her dog, Ginger. Janet and John were members of the Mascoutin Golf Course and they enjoyed golfing together at many different golf courses.    

Janet is survived by 4 children: Patricia (Lex) Epting, Thomas (Nancy) Wilke, Kathleen (Bill) Sheldon, and Scott (Diane) Wilke; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, John Jones; other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, John.

A Funeral service for Janet will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 1:00pm until the time of the services. Cremation will follow.
