Janet R. Wagner

Janet R. Wagner, age 96, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon. Janet was born on October 14, 1921 in Pickett Wisconsin, the daughter of Glen and Ruth (Rolph) Griese.

Janet had a passion for gardening and working in the greenhouse. She was the first state Public Relations Director for the National Farmers Organization (NFO) and the Public Relations Director for Winnebago County NFO. She worked for the Ripon WCWC Radio Station for many years and was a member of the Ripon School Board.

Janet is survived by her children: Jerry (Bernice) Wagner of Fond du Lac, Dan (Nancy) Wagner of Ripon, Ruth (Mike) Jones of Neenah, Tina Wagner (Pat Holt) of St. Paul, MN, Jane Wagner of Ripon, Sara (Paul) DuFrane of Fond du Lac, and John (Mary) Wagner of Ripon; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul (Ruth) Wagner; 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorial Services for Janet will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Blossom Street in Ripon with Father Robert Fictum officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of the services.
