Jack W. Banks, age 98, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Ripon, WI. Jack was born on October 18, 1922 in Wagoner, OK, the son of Jasper and Clarissa (Lancaster) Banks. He was united in marriage to Dorothy G. Smith on July 11, 1942 in Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on September 29, 2009.
Jack served his country from 1942-1944 as a US. Navy Seabee during WWII. He was a Wagoner Police Officer in Oklahoma for many years. He then worked at Douglas Air in Tulsa, OK. After moving to Wisconsin, Jack worked at Rockwell International as a Machinist. He lived at his home at 98 years old and loved being in his garden. He enjoyed traveling and watching football, a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Jack is survived by his daughter: Sheila (Terry) Anderson; 3 sons: Michael (Kathlyn) Banks, Jack A. (Christine) Banks, and Mitchell (Denise) Banks; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; and 9 brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Service for Jack will be held at 10:00am on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon. Burial will be held at Loper Cemetery in Ripon, WI with Full Military Honors. Divine Passage Funeral Home is proudly serving the Banks family. divinepassagefunerals.com
