Irene J. Prellwitz, age 91, of Ripon, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Ripon Medical Center. She was born on June 26, 1923 in the Village of Ashippun, WI, the daughter of George and Josie (Bursma) Wendlandt. She graduated from Wautoma High School, Class of 1942. Irene was united in marriage to Lawrence Prellwitz on August 7, 1943 in Ripon. They have been lifelong members of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon. She enjoyed line dancing and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence of Ripon, 3 sons: Gerald (Martha) of Green Lake, Ricky (Debbie) of Ripon, Ronold (Lisa) of Kaukauna; 2 daughters: Karen (Gary) Clark of Brandon, Carol Prellwitz of Ripon, 8 grandchildren: Robert (Amy) Prellwitz of Mequon, Rebecca (Robert) Paxton of Wauwatosa, Jason Manthei of Fond du Lac, Lisa Kay Manthei of Green Bay, Stephanie Prellwitz of Ripon, Danielle Hinton of Ripon, Adam Prellwitz of Kaukauna, Sara (Danny Preissner) Prellwitz of Kaukauna; 8 great grandchildren: Sullivan, Harrison and Eliana Prellwitz; Audrey and Liam Paxton, Aaliyah Wilson, Damian Singh, and Jayden Hinton; and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and infant grandson Jeremy Adam Manthei.
A Funeral service for Irene will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon with Rev. Dr. Kevin Mundell officiating. Friends and family may visit at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4-7pm and at the CHURCH on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will be held in the Hillside Cemetery in Ripon. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the church.
