Hazel Dimitroff

Hazel Dimitroff, age 94, of Johnson Creek, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Watertown, WI. She was born on November 26, 1919 in Hillsboro, WI the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Leatherberry) Sormrud. Hazel was baptized and confirmed of the Lutheran faith. She was united in marriage to Rodney Dimitroff for over 60 years. He then preceded her in death in October 2003. She lived in Milwaukee, WI, Northridge, CA, Hartland, WI and Johnson Creek, WI.

She is survived by one sister, Nancy McKnight of Lengby, MN; two nieces, Sandra (Fred) Alvardo of Oconomowoc, WI and Cathy (Ken) Gunvalson of Gonvick, MN; two nephews, Sean (Lorie) McKnight of Fosston, MN and Wayne (Lib) Sormrud of Jefferson, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rodney, and her two brothers, Morlan and Sherman.

A Time of Remembrance for Hazel will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 3 to 4pm at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street, in Ripon. Funeral services will be held at 11:45am on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Sunset Ridge Assisted Living in Johnson Creek, WI. Friends and family may visit at Sunset Ridge Assisted Living from 10:45 until the time of the services. Burial will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 1:00pm at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro, WI.
