Harriet A. Kirst

Harriet A. Kirst, age 92, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Whispering Pines in Ripon. Harriet was born on July 25, 1926 in Pickett, the daughter of Albert and Anna Salzwedel. She graduated from the Country School in Pickett. On February 3, 1946 she was united in marriage to Wesley Kirst at Grace Lutheran Ev. Church in Pickett. He then preceded her in death on September 18, 2001.

Harriett worked at Ripon Hospital throughout her life, retiring as a Nurses Aid. She was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon and always enjoyed knitting quilts.

Harriet is survived by her sons: Allen (Diane) Kirst of Griffin, GA and Arland Kirst of Ripon; granddaughter, Charlotte; grandsons: Keith (Special friend, Angie) of Ripon; Jeremy of Green Lake and John of MN; sister-in-law, Luella; other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley; son, Carl; and an infant sister.

Visitation for Harriet will be held from 10:00AM - 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Sheppard officiating. Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon is proudly serving the Kirst family. divinepassagefunerals.com
