Glen D. Griese

Glen D. Griese, age 67, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly at his home the morning of Monday, October 6, 2025. Glen was born on October 16th, 1957 in Oshkosh, WI; the son of Eugene and Jone (Horn) Griese. Glen was united in marriage to his wife, Kay Durant on June 28, 1980 in Oshkosh, WI. He worked with his father at Gene Griese & Sons in Pickett as a Steel Erector. He and two siblings went on to co-own the business until their retirement. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, astronomy and camping. He visited the mountains of Colorado to enjoy the stars and beautiful surroundings.

Glen is survived by his wife, Kay; 3 daughters: Sara (Troy) Newton; Samantha Vadnais; and Stephanie (Cory) DeGroff; 10 grandchildren: Arabella Vadnais, Amelia Vadnais, Gavin Vadnais, Juliet Vadnais, Hailey Vadnais, Emily Vadnais, Aiden Nelson, Quintin Hein, Colin DeGroff, and Natalie DeGroff; siblings: Garrett (Cathleen) Griese, Gayle (Robert Laziewcz) Savka, Clair (Steven) Trout, and Kathryn (Steven Plantz) Luebke; sister-in-law, Lise Griese; father-in-law, Dennis Durant; other relatives and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Jone; son, Benjamin Griese; granddaughter, Avalon Vadnais; brother, Steven Griese; niece, Elizabeth Luebke; and mother-in-law, Mavis Durant.

Per the wishes of Glen, cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Glen will be held at 2 pm, with a visitation at 1 pm, on October 25th 2025 at the  Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ripon, WI.
