Gilberto H. Flores

Gilberto H. Flores, age 89, of Ripon, WI, peacefully went to his heavenly home on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Aspire Assisted Living in Oshkosh, WI. Gil was born on September 1, 1936 in Crystal City, TX; the son of Juan and Petra (Hernandez) Flores. He was united in marriage to Brenda Zarate on October 29, 1987 in Milwaukee, WI. Gil loved spending time with his family. One of his greatest passions throughout his life was Billiards, which is where he met his best friend, Marvin Zarate. Gil was very proud and meticulous with his yard and lawn, learning such fine detail from his engineering/machinist career. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and camping with his family. He loved Mexican food, and made the best tostadas.

Gil is survived by his wife, Brenda; children: Carlos Flores, Yvonne Reynolds, Michael Duran, Daniel Flores, and Angelina Reno; grandson, Niimi Negani; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Juan Flores and Jose Flores; sister, Juanita Bell; other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sons: Luis Flores and Ruben Flores; and brother, Antonio Flores.

Per the wishes of Gil, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Romines High Pockets in Milwaukee at a later date. Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon is proudly serving the family. Divinepassagefunerals.com
