Genevieve V. Blatnik

Genevieve V. Blatnik, age 98, of Green Lake, WI, formerly of Butler, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Barrett House in Ripon, WI. Genevieve was born on May 30, 1925 in Milwaukee; the daughter of Albert and Josephine (McMahon) Rohde. She graduated from Riverside High School in Milwaukee. On October 4, 1952, Genevieve was united in marriage to Frank Blatnik. He preceded her in death in 1994. She worked at Milwaukee Faucet as an Inspector until retiring.

Genevieve loved to go shopping and “bumming” around with her daughter. She enjoyed baking pies and sharing her bakery with her neighbors and taking long walks in Butler with her dogs meeting friends.

Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Christine (Gary) Glisczinski of Green Lake; son, Frank (Geri) Blatnik of Waterford; special cousin, Kathy Hanrahan who was always there for support; other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; brother, Elmer Rohde; and sister, Cecilia Grajczek.

A Funeral services and interment will be held for Genevieve in the Chapel of the Flowers at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery in Brookfield, WI.  Family and Friends may visit from 10:30am until the time of the services.
