Gene H. Lucht, age 83, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc. Gene was born on July 3, 1935 at home, the son of Melvin Sr. and Mildred (Lembke) Lucht. He was united in marriage to Marlene Turnacliff on July 14, 1956 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hartland, WI.
Gene was a Milk Hauler for several years. He was a welder at Archie Ladwig in Waukesha and then become a school Custodian until he retired. Gene was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Stone Bank. He collected model trains, enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He loved his motorcycles and cars. He was a very simple man.
Gene is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marlene; two daughters: Roxanne (Doug) Wolfgram of Burlington, and Yvonne (David) Bangle of Waukesha; two grandchildren: Andrew (Jessica) Wolfgram of Waukesha, and Anna (Fiancee William Myatt Jr.) Bangle of Waukesha; great granddaughter, Gianna Wolfgram; sister, Donna (Tim) Klink of Stone Bank; sister-in-law, Beth Lucht; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin "Butch".
A Funeral service for Gene will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Stone Bank, WI with Pastor Karen Jost officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church on Sunday from 12:00PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Stone Bank at a later date.
