Everett O. Patzlaff

Everett O. Patzlaff, age 81, died at his home with his family by his side on Friday, November 3, 2006. He was born on May 27, 1925 in Oshkosh, the son of Raymond and Gertrude (Gering) Patzlaff. On May 19, 1956, Everett was united in marriage to Eline Stollfus in Oshkosh. He was a member of Pickett Steam and Gas Engine Club and Belgian Draft Horse Corp. of America. He loved working on his farm with his draft horses, enjoyed going to visit his Amish friends and watching his children and grandchildren garden tractor pull. Most of all, he loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.  

Ev is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; children: Jeffrey (Robin) Patzlaff of Pickett, Tamara (Steven) Fischer of Van Dyne, and Todd (Diana) Patzlaff of Ripon; grandchildren: Lynnsay (Andy) Tesch, Allison (Dusty), Adam, Jerrett, Cassandra, Briana, Landon, and Xavier; and 2 sisters: Elaine (Jim) Martin and Barbara (Eugene) Meuler, both of Oshkosh. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held oat 11:00am on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, with Rev. Russell Kloehn officiating. Friends and family may visit on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Wachholz Family Funeral Home in Ripon from 4:30pm-7:30pm and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of the services. Burial will be held in Rosendale Cemetery.

We want to send out a special thank you to Yvonne and all of the nursing staff from Hospice who came out and cared for Ev during his illness. We also want to thank Comfort Keepers and their staff for all they've done, our family, and friends for their help and support.
