Evelyn M. Kalafarski

Evelyn M. W. Kalafarski, age 91, of Ripon, WI, went to her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2021 at Copperleaf Village in Ripon. Evelyn was born on April 12, 1930 in Burlington, WI, the daughter of John and Margaret Wisnefske. She was a drum major and graduated from Fond du Lac High School. Evelyn was united in marriage to Theodore Kalafarski on September 18, 1954 at St. Matthews Church in Campbellsport, WI. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1995 in CA. During their time together, Evelyn and Ted traveled coast to coast living in 7 states for his many assignments as an Electronics Engineer.  Evelyn provided for the family at home.

Evelyn was a secretary for CIEKHAFER Marine (now known as Mercury Marine) in Fond du Lac before moving to Milwaukee where she met Ted.  They both worked for the U.S. Signal Corps where she was a secretary.  Evelyn was an Artist and loved to sketch and paint nature scenes and flowers (roses were one of her favorites). She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.

Evelyn is survived by her son, John (Isobel) Kalafarski of FL; and grandchildren: Eric of FL, Heather (fiancé Alex) of WA, and Aaron of DC; a daughter, Kathy Kalafarski of OR; other relatives and her dear friends in the Wisconsin area and across the country. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Wisnefske; husband, Ted Kalafarski; and two sisters:  Dolores (Conrad) Corcoran, and Dorothy (Charlie) King.

A Visitation for Lynn will be held in St. Anne’s chapel from 9:30am to 10:30am on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, WI.  Funeral Mass will follow in the chapel at 10:30am with Father Davies Edassery officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00am at the Rural Home Cemetery in Big Bend, WI on the following day, Friday, December 10, 2021 to be near her beloved sister, Dolores, who predeceased her in 2012.
