DuWayne E. Kimpton, age 79, of Rosendale, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 30, 2025. DuWayne was born on December 18, 1945 in Fond du Lac, WI; the son of George and Sarah (Williams) Kimpton. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Barbara Jean Maser on April 21, 1967 in Ripon, WI. She preceded him in death on January 5, 2019. He served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1970. He was a devoted member and on the Firing Squad for the Ripon Brown-Parfitt American Legion Post 43.
DuWayne was a member of the United Church of Christ in Rosendale. He was a semitruck driver and worked for Fond du Lac Wilbert Vault for many years before retiring. DuWayne liked working on cars, going to auctions, and traveling to steam engine shows with his friends. He enjoyed horses, fishing, hunting, and traveling with Barbara. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
DuWayne is survived by his 4 children: Ann (Baron) Campbell of Neshkoro, Terry (Paula) Kimpton of Fond du Lac, Michelle “Shelly” Henricks of Lake City, FL, and Sara (Mike) Brace of Ripon; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 5 sisters: Sandra (Gary) Delzer of Fond du lac, Marcia (Richard) Hanson of Tracy, CA, Sharon Wells of Kyle, TX, Karen (Wesley) Bublitz of Melbourne, FL, and Linda Hill of Merino, CO; special friends, the Fairbank family; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; 2 brothers: Dale and Lloyd Kimpton; and brother-in-law, Jim Wells.
Visitation will be held for DuWayne from 5:30PM to 7:00PM on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street in Ripon.
Funeral services will be held for DuWayne at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the United Church of Christ, 204 W. Division Street., in Rosendale with Rev. Wes Wassell officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Burial with Full Military Honors will be held in Zoar Cemetery in Utica, WI following the services.
