Diane S. Umbarger

Diane S. Umbarger, age 72 of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Prairie Place CBRF. Diane was born on March 29, 1945 in Ripon the daughter of Lester and Junice (Straks) Vande Berg. She graduated from Brandon High School. Diane was united in marriage to William W. Umbarger on November 28, 1969 in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Diane worked for Ripon Foods for over 30 years. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Ripon and a member of the "Golden Girls" group. She was a huge sports fan, especially the Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Debra (Tim) Meyer of Butte Des Mortes; son, Brad (Tonya) Umbarger of Jefferson; grandchildren: Alex and Zach Meyer, Brooke and Ben Umbarger; two brothers: Keith and Ken Vande Berg; sister, Kathleen Cole; sister-in-law Pat Vande Berg; other relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William; two sisters: Betty (Mike) Vande Brink and Donna Daane; and one brother Larry Vande Berg.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00PM on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon with Rev. Joanna D'Agostino officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 3:00PM until the time of the services.
