Dennis M. Giese

Dennis M. Giese, age 66, of Markesan, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. Dennis was born on November 21, 1950 in Fond du Lac, the son of Carl and Evelyn (Marcoe) Giese. He attended Fox Valley Technical College and received his Barber Certification. He owned Rosendale Barber and Styling shop for many years. He also helped manage his parent's bowling alley, Van Dyne Lanes. On December 18, 2003, he was united in marriage to Julie Ann Heidemann in Florida.

Dennis was an avid bowler and enjoyed being on the bowling team every year. He always looked forward to playing golf and Sheepshead with his high school classmates once a year. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, golfing and trap shooting. His passion was going to the movie theater and he enjoyed reading.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Julie; mother, Evelyn Giese of Markesan; two step-sons: Tim (Tara) Schaefer of Fond du Lac and Shawn (Amanda) Schaefer of Cottage Grove; one step-grandchild, Bentley Schaefer; two sisters: Faye ("Biff") Grover of Ripon and Carleen (Roger) Norton of Van Dyne; one brother, Steve (Beverly) Giese of Rosendale; special pet, Mindy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father.

A funeral mass for Dennis will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Blossom Street in Ripon with Father Robert Fictum officiating. Friends and family may visit at the CHURCH on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of the services. Burial will be held in Rosendale Cemetery.
