Dennis Dahlke Sr Obituary

Dennis "Red" Dahlke Sr, age 67, of Brandon, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born on March 6, 1947 in Ripon, the son of Edward and Evelyn (Kysely) Dahlke. He was educated in the Sunnyknoll Country School and later in Brandon school district. He loved working on the family farm growing up.

On May 27, 1967 he married Connie Henning in Brandon, where they lived and raised their three children. Dennis worked at the Bonduelle Vegetable processing plant in Fairwater for 46 years. He loved traveling and taking family vacations with their children and grandchildren. He also loved spending time with his brothers-in-law doing Carpentry work, helping out at the feed mill, and up north hunting weekends. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons and going to his granddaughters sports games. He has many precious memories with his family.

Dennis is survived by his lovely wife of 47 years, Connie; one daughter, Carie (David) Hood of Green Lake; two sons, Dennis Jr (Susan) and Corey (Lori) of Brandon; two granddaughters, Alexa and Sydney Dahlke; seven grandsons, Riley, Ethan, Calin, Sawyer, Dylan, Jason, and Terry; four great-grandchildren, William, Braelyn, Spencer and Kennedy. He is further survived by one brother, Merlin of Brandon; three sisters, Ellen Fude of Waupun, Sharon Thompson of Rockford, IL, and Dona Velarde of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Infant brother Jerome; two sisters, Evelyn Vis and Sandra Dahlke; and brother-in-law Ernest Fude.

Funeral services for Dennis will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon with Rev. John Tilstra officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held in Brandon Cemetery.
