Darwin E. Bornick, age 80, of Princeton, WI passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI. Darwin was born in the Township of Mecan on August 21, 1942, the son of Elmer and Norma (Stibb) Bornick. He graduated from Ripon High School, Class of 1960. On July 18, 1964, he was united in marriage to Jean Ann Lehman at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. He retired from Mercury Marine after 37 years as a Machinist. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Princeton. He loved cutting wood for his wood burner. In his earlier years, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and camping with his family and grandchildren. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Together, Darwin and Jean spent 30 years serving up donuts and more at the Princeton Flea Market.
Darwin is survived by his loving wife, Jean; three sons: Todd Bornick of Princeton, WI, Jeff (Vicki) Bornick of Princeton, WI, and Glenn (Cassie) Bornick of Princeton, WI; four grandchildren: Amber, Bryant, Elizabeth and Kylie Bornick of Princeton, WI; three sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Jim) Ruediger of Muskego, WI, Barbara Hoddinott of Princeton, WI, and Sue Karst of Ripon, WI; God son, Darrell Stibb; special friends: Roger and Denise Priebe, Joe and Sandy Docter, Tim and Deb Cluppert, Randy and Nancy Weckwerth, Dean and Jeannie Rentmeister, and Paul Doro. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many more dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Elmer and Norma; step-father, William Bliske; step-brother, Orville Bliske, grandparents, Edward (Matilda) Stibb, brothers-in-law: Gary Hoddinott and Dan Karst; sister-in-law, Joann Piekarski; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
