Carolyn J. Knaub, age 74, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Kindred Hearts Memory Care Center in Green Lake, WI surrounded by her family. She was born on January 14, 1940 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Roland and Edith (Farmer) Biesel. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee and was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Carolyn was united in marriage to Bruce Knaub in Milwaukee on August 12, 1961. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, gardening, bowling and ballroom dancing.
She is survived by her husband Bruce Knaub of Brown Deer; three sons, Marc (Emily) Knaub of East Troy, Chris Knaub of Germantown, and Jeff Knaub of Brookfield; two daughters, Bonnie (Frank) Wiencek of Mequon, and Shari (John) Behm of Berlin; six grandchildren, Kaitlin Holme, Kendra Knaub, Heather Behm, Jacob Knaub, Matthew and Maggie Wiencek; her brother, Roger (Joan) Biesel of Kentucky; and her sister, Janet Sturgis of Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Don Sturgis.
A private Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established with the Alzheimer's Association in her name. The family of Carolyn would like to extend a special Thank You to Generations Hospice and the staff at Kindred Hearts Memory Care Center for their wonderful care and dedication during this difficult time.
