Carol M. Ellison

Carol M. Ellison, age 90, of Green Lake, WI, passed away in the presence of her son on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon. Carol was born on April 7, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Dzuiree) Palish. Carol was a working mother, homemaker, and small business partner with her husband, Edward Ellison, who she married on April 17, 1948, at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. Carol handled and operations and managed financial transactions for their Chicago-based sports gaming business. She continued business operations on her own well after her husband’s passing in 1966. She semi-retired and moved to Green Lake, WI in 1991, taking a part-time position at the Green Lake Conference Center where she worked until she officially retired. Carol was very active and enjoyed dancing, interior decorating, traveling with her grandchildren, cooking, plants, movies and sports.  

Carol is survived by her sons: Ed (Maureen) Ellison, Glenn Ellison, and Jim Ellison; daughter, Karie (John Stewart) Ellison; seven grandchildren: Edward (Boomer), Bobbi Kay, Sean, Michelle, Alex, Jennifer, and Emily; 12 great grandchildren: Edmond, McKenzie, Caleb, Liam, Dylan, Ethan, John-Paul, Leftheri, Louka-Simeon, Zamar, Lambro, and Madison; two great great grandchildren: Henry and Theodore; sister, Mary Lou (Rich) Arnold; step brothers: George (Kathy) Garines and Jim (Suzan) Garines; other relative and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; brother, Buddy; and sister, Barbara 

The family would like to acknowledge the support and friendship of two close neighbors, Gabi Schellhorn, and Leslie Gearing who were a source of comfort and security to Carol in her later years.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon. Family and close friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 11:00am until the time of the Celebration of Life services begin.
