Anthony M. Bernath

Anthony M. Bernath, age 82, of Ripon, WI, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI with his family by his side. Tony was born on June 17, 1943 in Waupun, WI; the son of Michael H. and Catherine B. (Heschel) Bernath. He graduated from Brandon High School, Class of 1961. Tony was united in marriage to Catherine Raymond on October 29, 1976 in Fond du Lac, WI.

Tony worked for Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 9, as a Stone Mason. He enjoyed all outdoor sports. He loved to fish and hunt with his son, and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, football, and volleyball games. He loved attending Brewer games with his “Brew Crew”.

Tony is survived by his wife Cathy; children: Dawn (Todd) Finley of Ripon, Travis (Jamie) Bernath of Ashwaubenon, and Angela Bernath of Ripon; grandchildren: Brandon, Michael, Alexis, and Lillian; great grandchildren: Madison, Maverick, and Mackenna of Ripon; other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Katherine Schindel, Marion Talma, Nicholas Bernath, and Christina Schmuhl.

A Celebration of Life for Tony will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon with Deacon Jeff Copson officiating.
